Virtual Teacher of the Visually Impaired - CA

A contract opportunity is available for a Visually Impaired Teacher specializing in telehealth services. This role focuses on providing specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments through remote platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored educational programs to students with visual impairments using telehealth technology.
• Assess and monitor student progress in accordance with individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Collaborate with families, school staff, and other professionals to support student learning.
• Utilize specialized teaching methods and adaptive technologies suitable for visually impaired learners.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student performance and services provided.

Qualifications:

• Certification or licensure as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired.
• Experience delivering instruction to visually impaired students, preferably within a telehealth setting.
• Strong knowledge of assistive technologies and adaptive tools used in visual impairment education.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to engage students remotely.
• Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.
