Virtual Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) – Washington State

Soliant is seeking a dedicated Virtual Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to support students with visual impairments in a Washington school district. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced TVI to provide specialized instruction remotely while helping students gain greater access to their education.

Position Overview

• Full-time virtual TVI position
• Washington school district assignment
• K–12 caseload based on district needs
• Competitive pay: $45–$55/hour
• 1099 contract opportunity
• School year contract with potential renewal

Responsibilities

• Provide virtual direct and consultative services to students with visual impairments
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and accommodations
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers
• Support students with Braille instruction, assistive technology, and accessibility needs
• Conduct evaluations and provide recommendations to support student success

Requirements

• Valid Washington State TVI certification/endorsement or ability to obtain
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education, Visual Impairments, or related field
• Experience working with students who are blind or visually impaired preferred
• Knowledge of Braille, assistive technology, and accessibility supports
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Comfortable providing services through a virtual platform
