Key Qualifications

• Florida Professional Certification for Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
• Orientation and Mobility Specialist (OMS) Certification required
• Experience in K-12 educational settings is strongly preferred

• Ability to provide both direct instruction and consultative services
• Flexible, collaborative, and willing to travel between multiple school locations
• Excellent communication and documentation skills

Core Responsibilities

• Deliver essential instruction and support to students with visual impairments (K-12)
• Manage a diverse caseload of 15–20 students across a district-wide itinerant model
• Travel between assigned schools (2–3 campuses per day), using the district’s main office as a home base
• Collaborate with district staff to customize your weekly schedule for efficiency
• Conduct student screenings and ongoing assessments
• Provide monthly consultative services and frequent direct support as needed
• Document and submit service timesheets and required paperwork promptly
• Participate in the district’s streamlined onboarding process
