Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) with OMS Certification, supporting K-12 students across multiple school sites in a vibrant educational community near The Villages, FL. This full-time itinerant role (35 hours per week, 8:00am – 3:30pm) begins August 3, 2026, and continues through May 28, 2027.

Highlights of the Position:

  • Serve a diverse caseload of 15–20 students, providing both direct and indirect services in consultative and instructional capacities.
  • Travel to 2–3 schools daily, with a primary home base at the district’s main office for planning and administrative time.
  • Collaborate on crafting a work schedule that fits your preferences and minimizes commute time.
  • Conduct screenings and assessments as needed, supporting students’ learning and accessibility.
  • Engage with students ranging from kindergarten through high school, making a tangible impact across age levels.

Qualifications & Preferences:

  • Professional FL TVI License required.
  • OMS Certification required.
  • Testing and assessment experience strongly preferred.
  • Previous school-based experience is valued but not required.
  • Background serving students with visual impairments across various settings.
  • Comfortable with flexibility, autonomy, and travel between campuses.
