Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid teaching certification with an endorsement in Visual Impairments or equivalent credentials
• Previous experience as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired or similar role preferred
• Strong knowledge of Braille, assistive technologies, and adaptive instructional strategies
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct instruction to students with visual impairments, adapting materials to fit individual learning needs
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families to facilitate optimal student progress
• Assess and monitor student growth, making timely adjustments to teaching plans as needed
• Provide guidance on the use of adaptive technology and mobility strategies to ensure student independence
