Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) | West Chester, Pennsylvania

Support students across Delaware County as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired in an itinerant, contract role. This position offers the opportunity to work with school-age children in Broomall and surrounding communities, making a meaningful difference in their educational journey. You'll travel between multiple school sites, providing individualized instruction and support to students with visual impairments.

Key Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
• Experience working with children who are visually impaired in an educational setting
• Strong knowledge of adaptive technology and Braille
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to travel between schools throughout Delaware County

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consultative services to students with visual impairments, both individually and in small groups
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals in collaboration with school teams
• Provide training and support to staff, students, and families on accessible instructional materials and adaptive technology
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for all assigned students
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and specialists to support overall student achievement
