Key Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
- Experience working with children who are visually impaired in an educational setting
- Strong knowledge of adaptive technology and Braille
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to travel between schools throughout Delaware County
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative services to students with visual impairments, both individually and in small groups
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals in collaboration with school teams
- Provide training and support to staff, students, and families on accessible instructional materials and adaptive technology
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all assigned students
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and specialists to support overall student achievement
