Grades 9 - 12 Certified Teacher for the Visually Impaired - West Chester, Pennsylvania

Beginning as soon as possible and continuing through June 3, 2025, you'll work a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 am to 3:15 pm, totaling 32.5 hours per week.

What You Bring:

• Valid Pennsylvania Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification (Instructional I or II)
• Experience teaching students in grades K-5, 6-8, and/or 9-12
• Thorough understanding of Braille, adaptive technology, and accessible instructional materials
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Strong collaboration skills for partnering with general educators, families, and support staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct instruction to students with visual impairments in a variety of grade levels
• Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet individual student needs
• Conduct student assessments, monitor progress, and report on educational outcomes
• Consult regularly with colleagues and families to coordinate support and accommodations
• Advocate for accessible learning environments and promote student independence
• Maintain accurate records and compliance with district and state guidelines
