Qualifications & Experience

• Current Pennsylvania Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification (Instructional I or II) required
• Experience serving students in grades K-12 preferred
• Expertise in adapting curriculum and delivering instruction tailored for students with visual impairments
• Strong communication skills and a positive, collaborative approach with students, staff, and families
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and advocacy for accessible learning environments

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct instruction and support to K-12 students with visual impairments, ensuring access to the general curriculum
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and special education staff to modify materials and adapt instructional strategies
• Conduct assessments, develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and track progress
• Offer ongoing guidance to families and staff regarding technology, Braille, and adaptive resources
• Maintain accurate records and participate fully in all required meetings and professional obligations

Assignments & Schedule

• Full-time, contract role commencing as soon as possible through June 3, 2025
• Standard hours: 8:00 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., Monday through Friday (32.5 hours per week)
