  • Hold a valid teaching certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
  • Have previous experience working in schools or with children who are visually impaired
  • Understand Braille instruction and assistive technology for the visually impaired
  • Exhibit excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
  • Are adaptable, compassionate, and committed to student outcomes

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering direct and consultative services to students with visual impairments
  • Adapting instructional materials to meet individual student needs

  • Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborating closely with general and special education staff, families, and service providers
