Qualifications:

• Valid Maryland teacher certification or licensure with TVI endorsement, or eligibility and willingness to obtain (licensure assistance available)
• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field preferred
• Experience or training in instructing visually impaired students
• Comfortable traveling between multiple school sites (laptop provided)
• Open to candidates from outside Maryland

Responsibilities:

• Deliver specially designed instruction aligned to IEP goals
• Provide direct services, assessments, and IEP development/implementation
• Consult and collaborate with TVIs, general and special education staff
• Support and guide Braille Transcribers
• Participate in school-based training and ongoing professional development
• Manage a caseload of 20-25 students from Pre-K through grade 12
