Qualifications

• Valid Maryland teacher certification or eligibility for licensure with TVI endorsement (support for out-of-state applicants with certification process)
• Experience or training in teaching students who are visually impaired (Pre-K to 12th grade preferred)
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (TVIs, general/special education teachers, Braille Transcribers)
• Commitment to individualized instruction and IEP development

Responsibilities

• Deliver specially designed instruction and services aligned to IEP goals for a caseload of approximately 20-25 students across Pre-K–12
• Conduct assessments and participate in IEP development/implementation
• Provide consultation and support to colleagues and Braille Transcribers
• Rotate through 12-15 school locations as assigned
• Utilize a school-provided laptop for on-site work
• Participate in robust training and professional development
