Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students across a district as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time, onsite position offers the chance to make a direct impact in students’ lives by delivering specialized educational services in a variety of school settings. This is an itinerant assignment, so travel between campuses throughout the district will be a key part of your daily routine.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Certification or license as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired
  • Previous experience supporting students with visual impairments in K-12 environments
  • Strong communication and organizational skills to manage a caseload in multiple school sites
  • Comfort working independently and collaborating within multidisciplinary teams
  • Access to reliable transportation for regular travel within the district
  • Ability to implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and adapt instructional materials as needed

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing direct instruction and consultative support to visually impaired students
  • Assessing student needs and collaborating with classroom teachers to modify curriculum and materials for accessibility
  • Traveling between assigned schools across the district to deliver services
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and contributing to IEP meetings
  • Supporting staff and families with resources and training on best practices for working with students with visual impairments
