Qualifications:

• Certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
• Knowledge of Braille and assistive technology for visually impaired learners
• Previous experience working in a school setting preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Flexibility and a passion for student-centered teaching

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative services to students with visual impairments
• Evaluate students, create educational materials, and adapt lessons to individual needs
• Collaborate with teachers, aides, and families to promote accessibility and inclusion
• Monitor progress, maintaining accurate documentation and updating IEP goals as needed
• Participate in team meetings and professional development activities
