This full-time contract position is ideal for Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVI) with an Orientation and Mobility Specialist (OMS) certification. Based out of the district’s main office, you’ll have the chance to impact students in an itinerant role, traveling between 13 school sites within the area. Schedules are thoughtfully coordinated to ease your commute and support your work-life balance.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience
- Hold active Florida TVI licensure and OMS certification.
- Screening, assessment, and testing experience required.
- Experience with consultative and direct services for visually impaired students highly valued.
- School-based background is preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide both direct and consultative instructional support to students with visual impairments, K-12.
- Manage a caseload of 15–20 students, working collaboratively with school teams and families.
- Deliver itinerant services across multiple schools (2–3 sites/day), ensuring students’ needs are met efficiently.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans.
- Conduct regular assessments and screenings.
- Participate in onboarding and credentialing processes (completion required for district badge).
- Maintain timely documentation and communication, both for student progress and district procedures.
