Support students in their educational journey as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) for a contract position near Woodland Park, CO. This rewarding opportunity offers part-time work supporting a diverse group of eight students across kindergarten through 12th grade for the upcoming school year. You'll be working 15–20 hours weekly, from August 11 through May 20, making a meaningful impact within a flexible schedule.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

  • Valid certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI)
  • Experience working with students who have a range of visual impairments
  • Familiarity with instructional strategies and adaptive devices for visually impaired learners
  • Strong collaboration skills for working alongside general education staff, families, and related service providers
  • Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Confidence serving students in both one-on-one and small group settings

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instructional support to visually impaired students in grades K–12
  • Adapt and modify curriculum materials to ensure accessibility and engagement
  • Collaborate in developing, implementing, and monitoring IEP goals
  • Serve as a resource to faculty, staff, and families regarding best practices and accessibility tools
  • Recommend assistive technology and adaptive equipment, offering training as needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports for each student’s programming
