Teacher for the Visually Impaired

Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) – Full-Time | 2026–2027 School Year

Soliant Education is seeking a full-time, onsite Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) to support students across the Suffolk, VA area. This is an itinerant position working throughout the district.

Pay: $35–$45/hour
Type: W-2 Contract
Schedule: Full-time
Benefits: Medical, Dental, 401(k)

Position Details:

• Caseload of approximately 20 students (K–12)
• Provide itinerant services across the district
• Collaborate with an existing virtual TVI (onsite presence required; no additional virtual candidates at this time)

Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction for students with visual impairments
• Develop, write, and implement IEPs
• Collaborate with related service providers and school staff
• Support student access to curriculum and independence skills

Requirements:

• Virginia DOE License – Visually Impaired Students (required)
• Minimum 2 years of recent teaching experience
• Experience with IEP development and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
