Qualifications:

  • Valid licensure as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) in Virginia
  • Proficiency in Braille instruction
  • Prior experience working with visually impaired students preferred
  • Flexibility to work in person, with a willingness to consider virtual options (VOCO) if needed
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Duties:

  • Instruct visually impaired students in Braille and other adapted educational materials
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Collaborate with school staff, families, and related service providers
  • Maintain detailed records of student progress and assessments
  • Work onsite for 21 hours per week (7.5 hours per day, 3 days a week)
