This full-time contract opportunity spans from August 11, 2026, to May 20, 2027, offering you the chance to deliver essential educational services weekday mornings and afternoons from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Work with a manageable caseload and help shape inclusive learning environments across the district—whether onsite or virtually.

What you'll bring:

  • Valid certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired or applicable state licensure
  • Previous experience or strong knowledge in providing instruction to students with visual impairments in school settings
  • Familiarity with accommodations and modifications under IEP/504 plans
  • Skills collaborating with general education and special education teachers to foster student success
  • Comfort with technology for both on-campus and remote instruction
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Key responsibilities:

  • Instruct students with visual impairments, delivering individualized and group lessons tailored to unique learning needs
  • Develop and implement instructional adaptations, materials, and accessible resources
  • Collaborate with general education and special education staff to integrate supports and accommodations
  • Attend meetings, participate in IEP/504 planning, and provide consultative support to colleagues
  • Track student progress, maintain required documentation, and communicate regularly with families
  • Offer guidance on assistive technology and orientation/mobility services
