A full-time Custodian position is available on a contract basis in Silver Spring, MD. This role requires knowledge of therapy practices in a hospital setting, specifically as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), along with expertise in infection control protocols.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of hospital environments to meet health and safety standards
  • Support infection control practices by following established protocols to prevent the spread of contaminants
  • Assist therapy departments as needed, utilizing skills as a COTA to ensure patient care areas are properly maintained
  • Manage custodial supplies and equipment to ensure availability and proper functioning
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff to maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for patients and staff

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

  • Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with experience in hospital settings
  • Strong knowledge of infection control procedures and standards
  • Experience in custodial or janitorial duties within healthcare or similar environments
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and maintain attention to detail
  • Reliable, proactive, and able to work full-time hours on a contract schedule
