Schedule/Hours:
- 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- 72 hours per pay period
This position focuses on providing occupational therapy to patients primarily recovering from orthopedic procedures or deconditioning, coaching them in essential life skills such as bathing, cooking, and dressing to promote independence at home. Experience with lymphedema and pediatric care is valued, as you may encounter a variety of cases—every day offers something new, allowing you to broaden your clinical background and strengthen your resume.
Key Qualifications:
- Previous OT experience in a hospital or home health setting preferred
- Willingness to work with pediatric populations; all ages welcome
- Interest or experience in lymphedema management strongly desired
- Solid organizational skills and comfort with web-based EMRs (iPads provided)
- Strong communication abilities; ready for occasional office visits and team meetings
- Flexibility to handle supervisory visits with COTAs as needed
- New grads may be considered depending on experience and fit
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and deliver therapy to ortho and deconditioned patients
- Coach patients in activities of daily living for maximum independence
- Confidently document and chart patient progress via a web-based EMR system
- Coordinate care with COTAs, nurses, and physicians
- Adapt quickly to varying travel routes within the service area and embrace autonomy
