Occupational Therapist in Boston, MA

Deliver occupational therapy in patients’ homes, assisting individuals of all ages who experience cognitive or physical impairments due to injury, illness, or disability. Responsibilities:

• Provide occupational therapy assessments and treatments in patient residences.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop patient-centered care plans.
• Manage technical and environmental resources to support therapy delivery.
• Document patient progress using electronic health records and hand-held devices.
• Adapt interventions based on patient needs and changing conditions.
• Travel within the designated geographic area to reach patients’ homes.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Minimum one year certified home care occupational therapy experience.
• At least two years experience in acute care, rehabilitation, or home care settings.
• Licensed Occupational Therapist registered with the Massachusetts Board of Registration.
• Proficiency with computer software related to patient care documentation; familiarity with hand-held devices is preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to a dynamic work environment.
• Comfortable traveling within the designated service area.
