Occupational Therapist in Carbondale, IL

Schedule:

• Four 10-hour shifts each week
• Includes two weekday shifts and two weekend shifts
• Flexible shift arrangements available if needed

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
• Previous experience in a hospital setting preferred
• Ability to adapt to multiple clinical environments
• Strong assessment and communication skills
• Willingness to float between multiple facilities as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct occupational therapy services to hospital patients across various departments
• Complete assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver interventions that support functional improvement
• Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, speech therapists, and nursing staff to deliver integrated, patient-centered care
• Document all care and progress according to hospital standards
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques, injury prevention, and home programs to ensure continuity of care after discharge
• Flexibly transition between assigned facilities to meet operational needs
