Occupational Therapist in Carbondale, IL

Begin a rewarding contract opportunity delivering Occupational Therapy services in a hospital environment. This position involves collaboration across multiple hospital settings, supporting patient recovery and rehabilitation while working within a multidisciplinary care team.

Schedule/Hours:

• Four 10-hour shifts per week
• Two weekday shifts and two weekend shifts
• Flexibility available with shift preferences
• Floating required between multiple hospital locations

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
• Experience providing therapy in an acute care or hospital setting
• Familiarity with evaluation, documentation, and treatment planning for diverse patient populations
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Flexibility to work at different hospital facilities as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments and develop patient-centered treatment plans
• Deliver individualized occupational therapy interventions supporting functional recovery
• Document all care according to hospital standards and regulatory guidelines
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to optimize outcomes
• Educate patients and families regarding therapy goals, progress, and aftercare strategies
• Adapt to a changing healthcare environment while prioritizing patient safety and quality of care
