Schedule/Hours:

  • Monday through Friday
  • Flexible shift arrangements available
  • Rotations across various hospital campuses, including Herrin and St. Joe’s

Qualifications:

  • Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license, eligible for practice in Illinois
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
  • Experience in an acute hospital environment is highly preferred
  • Adaptability to float between multiple facilities within the system

Preferred Certifications (Based on Department Needs):

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
  • Additional specialty certifications a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality occupational therapy services to patients in various units
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient-centered care plans
  • Adapt quickly to varied clinical settings and patient care requirements
  • Document therapy assessments, interventions, and progress in compliance with facility standards
  • Educate patients and their families regarding therapeutic processes and at-home strategies
