This contract role runs ASAP through the end of the school year, working with a diverse K-12 student population. Schedule/Hours:
- Full-time position
- ASAP start through the end of the academic year
Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license required
- Previous experience in both healthcare and school settings is highly valued
- Proficient in supporting fine and gross motor skill development
- Comfort collaborating with Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs)
- Demonstrated ability to create and implement individualized treatment plans for students K-12
- Strong communication skills for working with staff, parents, and students
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and deliver occupational therapy interventions to K-12 students
- Collaborate with educators, support staff, and parents to facilitate student participation in school routines
- Assist in developing strategies for students with varying needs in both academics and daily living skills
- Support IEP teams with expert OT input and documentation
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, adjusting plans as necessary
- Provide guidance or supervision to COTAs as needed
