Schedule/Hours:
- Full-time position
- Assignment extends ASAP through end of school year
- K-12 student population
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) is required
- Experience in both hospital and school settings is highly valued
- Skills in fine and gross motor development, with expertise supporting growth in these areas
- Comfortable collaborating with Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA) and other school professionals
- Ability to develop and implement individualized therapy plans for students with varying needs
- Effective communication skills with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
- Assess and address fine and gross motor skill challenges in a school setting
- Deliver therapy to K-12 students, adapting interventions according to student progress
- Partner with school staff to integrate therapeutic strategies into the educational environment
- Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, and student progress
- Guide and mentor COTAs, ensuring high standards of therapeutic care and support
- Advocate for students’ needs by attending relevant meetings and collaborating on IEP teams
