Desired Qualifications:
- Active license to practice Occupational Therapy
- Previous experience in hospital-based OT or critical illness rehab setting preferred
- Strong commitment to patient care and safety
- Effective communication and interdisciplinary teamwork skills
- Capable of supervising OT assistants and supporting student learning
Role Responsibilities:
- Assess patient functionality and create individualized care plans in response to physician orders
- Implement therapy interventions and closely monitor progress
- Participate actively in team meetings and contribute to collaborative planning for patient discharge
- Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and students, ensuring adherence to best practices
- Complete timely, accurate patient documentation and daily progress notes
- Adhere strictly to personal and patient safety standards in all job-related activities
- Promote high standards in patient care quality and continuous improvement initiatives
- Educate patients and families regarding adaptive equipment and therapy goals
- Exhibit professionalism and resourcefulness while adapting to new challenges
