As a traveling Occupational Therapist at this regional hospital, you’ll thrive in a dynamic environment where professional growth is the norm. This 13-week contract will immerse you in both acute inpatient and rehabilitation settings, exposing you to a variety of diagnoses such as orthopedic, neurological, and intensive care cases. Working alongside dedicated colleagues and under seasoned management, you’ll expand your clinical skills, gain experience with EPIC EMR, and observe a range of operational practices—all enhancing your professional portfolio.

Schedule:

  • Four 10-hour shifts weekly (07:30 – 18:00)
  • Rotating weekends (or weekends as assigned)
  • Holiday coverage as needed
  • Expect 2-3 days of department-specific orientation; onboarding schedule may include M-F, 8-hour shifts

Qualifications:

  • Current OT license and BLS certification
  • Minimum of 1 year of acute inpatient or rehabilitation experience
  • Open to first-time travelers
  • Experience with orthopedic (total joints), neuro (stroke, occasional brain injury), and medical/ICU patients preferred
  • Comfortable floating between acute inpatient, rehab units, and ICU as needed

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and treat adult patients (10–12 daily) with diverse clinical needs
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team, including rehab aides
  • Document care in EPIC EMR
  • Adapt care delivery based on patient acuity and unit assignment
