Occupational Therapist | Herrin, Illinois

Deliver essential occupational therapy services in a hospital setting, providing compassionate care across multiple locations. Schedule/Hours:

• Four 10-hour shifts per week
• Two weekday shifts and two weekend shifts
• Flexible shift options available
• Will float between various hospital sites

Qualifications:

• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
• Previous hospital-based therapy experience preferred
• Strong assessment, clinical reasoning, and communication skills
• Ability to adapt to different departments and work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Proficient with electronic medical record systems and documentation
• CPR certification

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans suited to a diverse patient population
• Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to promote recovery, mobility, and daily living skills
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare staff to ensure optimal, coordinated care
• Monitor and document patient progress, modifying treatment strategies as needed
• Educate patients and caregivers about ongoing rehabilitation and wellness strategies
• Maintain accurate records, adhering to all organizational and regulatory requirements
• Float as needed between hospital locations to meet departmental needs and ensure consistent high-quality care
