Schedule/Hours

  • Monday through Friday, daytime shifts
  • Flexible schedule available to accommodate your needs
  • Rotating between Herrin, Carbondale, and additional area hospitals

Qualifications

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist
  • Current BLS certification; ACLS, NIHSS required (additional certifications such as PALS and TNCC may be needed when floating to specific departments)
  • Adaptability and willingness to float between acute care, rehabilitation, and emergency settings within the regional hospital network
  • Strong communication, assessment, and interdisciplinary teamwork skills

Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive occupational therapy evaluation and treatment to patients in acute, rehab, and specialty units
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to develop patient-centered care plans
  • Document patient progress and adjust treatment interventions as indicated
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, ensuring safe transitions and discharge planning
