Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- State licensure as an Occupational Therapist in good standing
- Demonstrated competency with therapy evaluation and care planning for diverse patient populations
- Strong clinical reasoning and documentation skills
- Experience within a hospital or outpatient rehabilitation setting preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for patient, family, and team education
- Commitment to upholding professional and ethical standards, confidentiality, and safety protocols
- Dedication to ongoing professional growth through continuing education and professional development
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients and design, implement, and modify individualized therapy plans based on clinical findings and physician direction
- Safely delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned individuals
- Ensure documentation is timely, clear, and compliant with regulatory guidelines and facility policies
- Educate patients, families, students, and staff regarding therapy interventions and self-care
- Promote a culture of patient and employee safety, consistently applying safe patient handling and infection control measures
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives and organizational meetings to advance quality of care
- Uphold organizational core values and participate in a collaborative, results-oriented team environment
- Maintain current licensure and complete required continuing education
