Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Occupational Therapy license
  • Current registration with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
  • Previous experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals
  • Proficient in developing and implementing individualized care plans
  • Ability to assess patient progress and adjust interventions as needed

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and case managers to ensure comprehensive care
  • Evaluate patients’ functional needs and establish measurable therapy goals
  • Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy interventions aimed at improving patient outcomes
  • Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, adaptive equipment, and home modifications to enhance independence
  • Monitor, document, and report patient progress, maintaining accurate clinical notes
  • Support discharge planning and transition of care, coordinating with other disciplines
