Qualifications:

• Valid and current Occupational Therapist license
• Experience working in both in-patient and out-patient settings
• Strong assessment, clinical reasoning, and patient engagement skills
• Excellent communication abilities for effectively collaborating with healthcare team members and patients
• Ability to adapt to changing case loads and patient needs across different care environments
• Previous hospital-based therapeutic experience preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and create individualized treatment plans
• Deliver direct occupational therapy interventions to maximize patient independence and functional abilities in both in-patient and out-patient settings (split approximately 50/50)
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and therapy colleagues to ensure cohesive patient care
• Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, adaptive techniques, and home programs
• Accurately document all services provided, maintaining up-to-date and organized records in accordance with hospital policies
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing to holistic treatment planning and patient progress review
• Adjust therapy plans in response to patient progress and evolving clinical needs
