Providing specialized occupational therapy services focused on enhancing patients’ independence and functional abilities, this travel role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic hospital environment in Palisade, CO.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patient needs in areas such as independent living, community reintegration, functional cognitive retraining, upper extremity function, perceptual activities, and assistive equipment use.
- Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans aimed at improving patient outcomes.
- Deliver skilled interventions including splinting and positioning techniques to support patient recovery.
- Effectively supervise and delegate tasks to students, therapy assistants, and technicians within scope of authority.
- Regularly reassess patient progress and revise treatment goals as needed.
- Uphold organizational mission, vision, and values, maintaining high standards of professional service.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support patient care and departmental operations.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current Occupational Therapist licensure with proven hospital-based therapy experience.
- Strong skills in cognitive retraining, upper extremity rehabilitation, and use of assistive devices.
- Ability to assess, plan, and execute patient-centered treatment programs effectively.
- Experience in supervising therapy staff and students is preferred.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
