An opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist to support K-12 students in a school-based environment. This full-time, contract role is needed as soon as possible through the end of the current school year. You will work collaboratively to develop students’ fine and gross motor skills in both healthcare and academic settings.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Full-time position
  • Needed ASAP through the end of the school year

Qualifications:

  • Valid Occupational Therapy license
  • Experience with therapy in hospital and/or educational settings
  • Proficiency supporting fine and gross motor skill development
  • Previous work as a School-Based OT or COTA highly preferred
  • Solid understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and supporting student progress
  • Able to communicate and collaborate effectively with staff, parents, and students
  • Adaptability and initiative in working with diverse K-12 populations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess students’ functional abilities and needs related to fine and gross motor skills
  • Develop and implement therapeutic interventions, in both one-on-one and small group settings
  • Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to help integrate therapy goals within classroom routines
  • Monitor and document student progress toward defined objectives
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings and contribute to IEP development
  • Provide consultative support to educators and families regarding accommodations and modifications
