Qualifications & Experience:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Experience in a hospital or outpatient therapy environment preferred
- Solid understanding of therapy evaluation, planning, and implementation
- Proficient clinical reasoning and ability to develop patient-centered treatment plans
- Familiarity with discipline-specific State Practice Act and applicable regulations
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to professional code of conduct
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate assigned patients, develop, implement, and modify treatment plans based on patient needs, goals, and physician direction
- Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned caseload
- Design functional and goal-oriented therapy programs supporting patient return to community activities
- Document in medical records clearly, accurately, and promptly, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Serve as an educator to patients, families, students, and coworkers
- Prioritize and promote patient and employee safety in all work areas, with a focus on safe patient handling, infection control, and work environment awareness
- Meet organizational standards for attendance, personal appearance, and punctuality
- Actively participate in student programs and create positive learning environments
- Foster performance improvement by providing feedback and embracing new initiatives
- Maintain active licensure and complete required continuing education
