Qualifications & Experience:
- Current, valid OT license (state requirements must be met)
- Proven experience in both inpatient and outpatient therapy settings preferred
- Strong clinical reasoning and documentation skills
- Ability to work comfortably in a fast-paced hospital environment
- Excellent communication and patient engagement abilities
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and collaborative care
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy evaluations and treatments to diverse patient populations
- Split caseload evenly between inpatient and outpatient departments, adapting care to each setting
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve patient function and independence
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary clinical teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in accordance with facility guidelines
- Educate patients and families on therapeutic processes, exercises, and home strategies
- Assist with discharge planning as needed
