Key Qualifications:
- Valid and current OT (Occupational Therapist) license in the state
- Experience in hospital or outpatient therapy settings preferred
- Knowledge of clinical assessment, documentation, and patient care planning
- Ability to delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services
- Excellent communication skills for interactions with patients, families, students, and colleagues
- Familiarity with patient safety principles, including safe patient and material handling, infection control, and hazard identification
- Awareness of and adherence to professional codes of conduct and regulatory requirements
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate assigned patients and develop, implement, and adjust treatment plans based on individual needs and physician direction
- Design functional therapy programs to support effective patient discharge and community reintegration
- Complete clear, concise, and timely documentation in compliance with clinic and regulatory standards
- Ensure all care is provided under valid physician orders and within insurance guidelines when applicable
- Educate patients, families, and peers while contributing to internal student training programs
- Promote a safe clinical environment, participating actively in initiatives to uphold safety protocols and organizational values
- Pursue ongoing professional development and maintain licensure in good standing
- Participate in organizational performance improvement and provide constructive feedback
