Key Qualifications:

  • Valid and current OT (Occupational Therapist) license in the state
  • Experience in hospital or outpatient therapy settings preferred
  • Knowledge of clinical assessment, documentation, and patient care planning
  • Ability to delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services
  • Excellent communication skills for interactions with patients, families, students, and colleagues
  • Familiarity with patient safety principles, including safe patient and material handling, infection control, and hazard identification
  • Awareness of and adherence to professional codes of conduct and regulatory requirements

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate assigned patients and develop, implement, and adjust treatment plans based on individual needs and physician direction
  • Design functional therapy programs to support effective patient discharge and community reintegration
  • Complete clear, concise, and timely documentation in compliance with clinic and regulatory standards
  • Ensure all care is provided under valid physician orders and within insurance guidelines when applicable
  • Educate patients, families, and peers while contributing to internal student training programs
  • Promote a safe clinical environment, participating actively in initiatives to uphold safety protocols and organizational values
  • Pursue ongoing professional development and maintain licensure in good standing
  • Participate in organizational performance improvement and provide constructive feedback
