This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Occupational Therapist interested in providing essential rehabilitation services within a dynamic hospital environment. Key Qualifications:
- Current and active Occupational Therapist license
- Minimum of one year experience in a hospital setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based practice in acute care therapy
- Proficient with electronic medical records and documentation standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans
Primary Responsibilities:
- Complete comprehensive assessments, setting measurable therapy goals in partnership with patients and families
- Deliver skilled therapeutic interventions, adapting sessions to diverse diagnoses, ages, and functional levels
- Coordinate and communicate regularly with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members for optimal patient outcomes
- Document treatment sessions, progress, and discharge plans accurately and in a timely manner
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic techniques to ensure continuity of care after discharge
- Contribute actively to interdisciplinary team meetings and quality improvement initiatives
