Travel Physical Therapist in Alachua, FL

Deliver specialized physical therapy services in an inpatient rehabilitation setting located in Alachua, FL. This travel position offers a rewarding opportunity to work with diverse patient cases in a 30-bed rehab unit equipped with standard inpatient rehab gym equipment, including balance and gait systems. Experience a supportive environment with a staff team of 22 skilled PTs, OTs, SLPs, and techs focusing on patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
• Facilitate activities of daily living (ADLs), transfers, gait training, therapeutic exercises, and functional training
• Provide education to patients and families regarding therapy and recovery processes
• Accurately document all patient interactions using Meditech Expanse documentation system
• Participate in weekend call rotation to support continuous patient care

Qualifications:

• Current Physical Therapy license and credentials
• BLS certification required
• Ability to work day shifts only with a patient ratio of 7:1
• Previous travel therapy experience preferred but not mandatory
• Adaptability to a fast-paced inpatient rehab unit, capable of independent function

Schedule and Terms:

• 6-week travel assignment
• Guaranteed 40 hours per week
• No return to the office (RTO), special scheduling flexibility, early cancellations, or attendance concerns
