Physical Therapist in Augusta, KS

Exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality care at a brand-new, 41-bed inpatient rehabilitation center equipped with state-of-the-art technology and modern amenities. This contract role offers a dynamic environment alongside an experienced, supportive therapy team, using advanced tools such as a vector unweighted system and a fully equipped IADL kitchen.

Schedule/Hours:

• 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Rotating weekends
• Flexible start/stop times for treatments

Qualifications:

• Active Physical Therapist (PT) license
• Current BLS certification
• Hands-on clinical approach
• Team-oriented, adaptable, and reliable

Preferred Experience:

• Acute inpatient rehabilitation setting experience
• Neuro certification or experience

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and individualized treatments
• Perform daily therapy interventions, including gait training, neuromuscular reeducation, and caregiver instruction
• Manage a 6-hour treatment load during an 8-hour shift, ensuring each patient meets the 3-hour therapy requirement
• Utilize equipment such as ESTIM, patient lifts, transfer devices, gym equipment, and vital machines
• Accurately track and document treatment time and charges using Meditech Magic EMR
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including PTs, PTAs, OTs, and SLPs, to optimize patient outcomes in a supportive environment
