Physical Therapist in Boca Raton, FL

Physical therapists passionate about delivering quality care in a dynamic hospital environment will thrive in this contract opportunity. This role is based within a 42-bed inpatient rehab unit serving a wide patient mix including orthopedic, cardiovascular, neurological, and general med/surg populations in a highly respected acute care teaching facility known for its advanced cardiovascular, neuroscience, oncology, and orthopedic services.

Schedule/Hours:

• Day shifts (8 hours)
• No on-call responsibilities
• Requires one weekend per month, with weekdays off to balance the schedule

Required Qualifications:

• Active BLS certification
• At least one year of recent experience in hospital acute care, inpatient rehab, or skilled nursing facility settings
• Ability to work varied day shift hours
• Experience with Meditech EMR
• Willingness and ability to don grey scrubs per dress code

Preferred Experience:

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT)
• Strong critical thinking and excellent time management abilities
• Compassionate team player with proven patient care background
• Comfort with an array of rehab equipment including treatment beds, exercise balls, treadmills, resistance bands, and exercise bikes

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide evidence-based physical therapy to a diverse patient population
• Collaborate with a team that includes a Director, Lead PT, PTAs, and occupational therapists
• Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as surgical schedules dictate
• Accurately document care in Meditech
