Advance your career as an inpatient physical therapist within a dynamic hospital-based rehab unit supporting patients’ recovery and independence. This contract position focuses on delivering high-quality therapy services as part of a collaborative healthcare team dedicated to exceptional patient care.
Schedule & Shift Details:
- 5x8 hour shifts, 8:00am–4:30pm
- Requires one weekend shift per month
- No on-call duties
- Occasional holiday coverage may be needed
Qualifications:
- Must have at least 1 year of experience as a physical therapist in a hospital setting
- Active South Carolina or multi-state compact physical therapist license is required at contract start
- Current BLS certification
- Prior inpatient or acute rehab experience strongly preferred
- Not open to first-time travelers
- Candidates must reside more than 60 miles outside the area; local candidates will not be considered
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based inpatient physical therapy services, from initial assessment to discharge planning
- Customize treatment plans to address patients’ unique rehabilitation needs and maximize outcomes
- Document evaluations, progress notes, and patient care accurately within Epic
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive care
- Educate patients and families to facilitate maintenance and improvement of function post-discharge
- Adhere to facility, state, and federal regulatory requirements
- Respond to hospital’s emergency response expectations during hurricane season as needed
