Travel Physical Therapist - Darlington, South Carolina

Advance your career as an inpatient physical therapist within a dynamic hospital-based rehab unit supporting patients’ recovery and independence. This contract position focuses on delivering high-quality therapy services as part of a collaborative healthcare team dedicated to exceptional patient care.

Schedule & Shift Details:

• 5x8 hour shifts, 8:00am–4:30pm
• Requires one weekend shift per month
• No on-call duties
• Occasional holiday coverage may be needed

Qualifications:

• Must have at least 1 year of experience as a physical therapist in a hospital setting
• Active South Carolina or multi-state compact physical therapist license is required at contract start
• Current BLS certification
• Prior inpatient or acute rehab experience strongly preferred
• Not open to first-time travelers
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles outside the area; local candidates will not be considered

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver evidence-based inpatient physical therapy services, from initial assessment to discharge planning
• Customize treatment plans to address patients’ unique rehabilitation needs and maximize outcomes
• Document evaluations, progress notes, and patient care accurately within Epic
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive care
• Educate patients and families to facilitate maintenance and improvement of function post-discharge
• Adhere to facility, state, and federal regulatory requirements
• Respond to hospital’s emergency response expectations during hurricane season as needed
