Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Physical Therapist (PT) license in the state
  • Previous hospital-based physical therapy experience highly preferred
  • Proficiency with patient evaluations, designing treatment plans, and therapeutic interventions
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare staff
  • Ability to adapt therapy approaches to diverse patient needs and adjust plans as necessary
  • Current BLS certification

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and establish individualized therapy goals and care plans
  • Deliver evidence-based physical therapy treatments for a broad spectrum of acute and chronic conditions
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Complete accurate documentation, track patient progress, and communicate updates to the healthcare team
  • Educate patients and their families about exercises, mobility strategies, and safe home care practices
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the department
  • Uphold hospital policies, procedures, and best practice standards
