Key Qualifications:
- Valid Physical Therapist (PT) license in the state
- Previous hospital-based physical therapy experience highly preferred
- Proficiency with patient evaluations, designing treatment plans, and therapeutic interventions
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare staff
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches to diverse patient needs and adjust plans as necessary
- Current BLS certification
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and establish individualized therapy goals and care plans
- Deliver evidence-based physical therapy treatments for a broad spectrum of acute and chronic conditions
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Complete accurate documentation, track patient progress, and communicate updates to the healthcare team
- Educate patients and their families about exercises, mobility strategies, and safe home care practices
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the department
- Uphold hospital policies, procedures, and best practice standards
