Qualifications:
- Current and valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)
- Previous experience in a hospital setting strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic techniques and rehabilitation protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to engage patients and collaborate with healthcare team members
- Ability to adapt treatment plans based on patient progress and needs
- CPR certification required
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patient physical abilities and create individualized treatment plans to address rehabilitation goals
- Administer therapy interventions to promote movement, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability
- Document patient progress, update care plans, and maintain accurate records according to hospital guidelines
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other team members to ensure coordinated, comprehensive patient care
- Educate patients and their families regarding therapeutic exercises, adaptive equipment, and home-care strategies
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and contribute to continuous quality improvement within the therapy department
