Deliver essential therapy services in a hospital environment, utilizing your expertise as a Physical Therapist. This contract opportunity offers a dynamic and supportive setting, working closely with physicians, medical staff, patients, and their families to help individuals achieve their rehabilitation goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a professional demeanor and provide excellent service to patients, colleagues, and visitors
- Assess each patient’s needs through thorough history, observation, examination, and diagnostic review
- Develop individualized care plans tailored to each patient’s holistic and age-specific requirements
- Deliver therapy interventions in accordance with physician directives and established standards of practice
- Practice hourly rounding and implement service excellence standards to optimize patient satisfaction and safety
- Demonstrate compassion, respect, and sensitivity to ensure a supportive environment for patients and families
- Follow protocols for the safe use of equipment and adherence to infection control and safety guidelines
- Apply best practices in caring for patients with various needs, such as central lines, catheters, pressure ulcers, and those at risk for falls
- Take an active part in departmental operations, including serving as charge nurse when assigned
- Help onboard and mentor newer team members to build department expertise and support continuous improvement
- Engage in hospital-wide initiatives focused on evidence-based practice
- Pursue ongoing professional development and education, setting personal growth goals
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current license as a Physical Therapist with hospital-based therapy experience
- Strong assessment, care planning, and intervention skills
- Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, and communication abilities
- Ability to mentor others and contribute to clinical education
- Commitment to professional learning and development
