Seeking an experienced physical therapist to provide comprehensive therapy services in a hospital outpatient setting. This contract position centers on evaluating patients, developing individualized care plans, and guiding their rehabilitation in alignment with physician direction and patient goals.

Schedule:

Qualifications:

  • Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist, in good standing
  • Previous experience in an outpatient or hospital setting strongly preferred
  • Solid understanding of patient evaluation, treatment planning, and functional goal setting
  • Familiarity with safe patient handling, infection control, and workplace hazard procedures
  • Excellent documentation and recordkeeping skills, with experience using medical record systems
  • Commitment to professional codes of conduct and ongoing professional development initiatives
  • Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, patients, and their families
  • Strong clinical reasoning and organizational skills
  • Willingness to support and mentor students as part of the clinical team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough evaluations and craft tailored therapy plans for assigned patients
  • Deliver discipline-specific therapy interventions targeting effective return to community activities
  • Document all interventions, progress, and communications clearly and in compliance with regulations
  • Educate patients, families, students, and peers about best therapy practices
  • Delegate and direct therapy services for assigned caseload in accordance with clinic policies
  • Prioritize patient and employee safety, adhering to all protocols and reporting potential risks promptly
  • Model and uphold standards of professional appearance, punctuality, and ethical practice
  • Participate actively in organization’s performance improvement initiatives and self-directed learning
  • Maintain required licensure and meet all continuing education mandates
