Travel Physical Therapist | Franklin, Virginia

This hospital-based role is primarily focused on outpatient therapy, with occasional coverage for a small med/surg unit and same-day surgeries such as total knee replacements. You'll work alongside diverse clinical leaders, expanding your expertise in multifaceted care settings. Collaborating with patients, families, and healthcare teams, you'll broaden your perspective by adapting to innovative workplace practices, enhancing your adaptability, and advancing your leadership skills in physical therapy.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• On-call duties: every 4th weekend for inpatient coverage

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, plan, and execute individualized Physical Therapy care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients (with limited pediatrics as needed)
• Conduct thorough assessments using standardized and non-standardized tests
• Collaborate actively with patients, families, and teams to maximize functional outcomes and plan for discharge
• Provide education to patients and caregivers, including training and assistive equipment recommendations
• Maintain accurate records and meet pre-certification/authorization requirements
• Participate in clinical education, process improvement, and community fitness/wellness initiatives

Desired Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (Bachelors required, Doctorate preferred)
• Active, non-expired Physical Therapy license in Virginia (or eligible upon submittal)
• Current CPR certification
• Specialty certification (OCS, SCS, NDT, Lymphedema, Women's Health, etc.) preferred
