A dynamic opportunity awaits physical therapists specializing in hospital-based care. This travel assignment offers a rewarding experience on the inpatient rehabilitation unit of a well-established medical center located in Gainesville, FL. This role provides the chance to work within a collaborative multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality rehabilitative care.

Assignment Details:

  • 40 hours guaranteed per week
  • 6-week duration
  • No return-to-office requirements, special scheduling, early cancellations, or attendance concerns
  • Day shift hours only, with weekend rotation requirements

Unit Overview:

  • 30-bed inpatient rehab unit on the 2nd floor of the main hospital building
  • Team of 22 rehabilitation staff including PT, OT, SLP, and technicians
  • Patient-to-therapist ratio approximately 7:1
  • Equipped with typical inpatient rehab gym tools, including balance and gait systems
  • Documentation via Meditech Expanse system

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Facilitate activities of daily living (ADLs), transfers, therapeutic exercises, gait training, and functional skill development
  • Educate patients and families on therapy goals and home care techniques

Required Qualifications:

  • Licensed Physical Therapist with current BLS certification
  • Ability to adapt quickly within a fast-paced, startup environment
  • Previous travel therapy experience is preferred but not required
  • Comfortable functioning independently with strong clinical decision-making skills
