Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and implement effective therapy plans per patient needs and physician guidance
  • Delegate, supervise, and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients
  • Design functional treatment programs to support patient reintegration into community activities
  • Serve as an educator to patients, families, students, and coworkers
  • Maintain thorough, timely medical documentation per clinic policy and regulatory standards
  • Emphasize patient and staff safety, employing the 10-Foot Circle of Safety in daily practice
  • Participate in student mentorship, professional development, and continuous process improvement initiatives
  • Uphold professional codes, ethical standards, and organizational values in all aspects of patient care

Qualifications

  • Valid state Physical Therapy license (or eligibility)
  • Demonstrated competency in outpatient therapy practice, with hospital experience preferred
  • Commitment to patient safety and confidential care
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills
  • Ability to supervise and mentor others
  • Adherence to state, federal, and organizational regulatory requirements
