Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy required; Master’s or Doctorate preferred
- Active Physical Therapist license in Massachusetts (or the ability to obtain)
- Previous experience in hospital, long-term, or skilled nursing settings preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
- Strong clinical knowledge of therapy evaluation, intervention planning, and outcome documentation
- Proficient communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Team player with a resident-centered care approach
Essential Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and establish individualized plans of care with functional long- and short-term goals
- Partner with interdisciplinary teams and families to maximize patient outcomes and independence
- Deliver education to residents, caregivers, and clinical staff regarding therapy interventions and safe use of assistive devices
- Maintain accurate EMR documentation in compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance requirements
- Provide mentorship to new staff, supervise assistant-level staff, and foster a collaborative environment
- Participate in program development and ongoing learning to remain current with therapy best practices
- Adhere to infection control protocols and ensure cleanliness and organization of the therapy department
