Seeking a skilled hospital-based physical therapist for a contract position supporting outpatient therapy services. This role entails evaluating assigned patients, developing and adjusting therapy plans in line with patient goals and physician directives, and ensuring delivery of high-quality, safe care. The position also encompasses patient and family education, contributing to the development of therapy services, and collaboration with colleagues.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Contract position; schedule details to be provided during interview.

Qualifications:

  • Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist, in good standing.
  • Experience in hospital or outpatient therapy settings preferred.
  • Strong clinical reasoning and assessment abilities.
  • Understanding and adherence to State Practice Act and regulatory mandates.
  • Ability to document patient progress clearly and timely.
  • Competent with treatment program design to facilitate return to community activities.
  • Experience or willingness to participate in student education and mentorship a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to patient-centered care.
  • Dedicated to ongoing personal and professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete comprehensive patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Implement and modify therapy interventions, delegating or directing therapy services as appropriate.
  • Document all care according to state, federal, and clinic guidelines.
  • Promote a safe environment, prioritizing patient and staff safety in all tasks.
  • Participate in professional development activities and ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
  • Uphold clinic standards for professionalism, appearance, attendance, and ethical conduct.
