Step into a dynamic hospital-based inpatient rehab unit as a dedicated Physical Therapist, providing exceptional care and support for patients on their recovery journey. This contract role offers the opportunity to work with a committed interdisciplinary team in a facility with 28 staffed beds.
Schedule:
- Five 8-hour shifts per week: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
- One weekend per month required
- Possible holiday coverage
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active SC or Multi-State Compact Physical Therapist license at start of contract
- At least 1 year of recent inpatient therapy experience required
- BLS certification necessary
- Previous travel experience required (no first-time travelers considered)
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based physical therapy to patients in an inpatient rehabilitation setting
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and document progress using Epic charting system
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing, and allied health staff to coordinate individualized patient care
- Educate patients and families regarding therapy goals and home exercises
- Maintain professional standards and adhere to facility policies
- Participation in emergency response teams may be required during hurricane season (June–November)
Additional Position Details:
- Facility reserves the right to call off one shift per two weeks
- No local candidates (within 60 miles)
