Required Qualifications:

  • Licensed Physical Therapist with hospital-based experience
  • Strong assessment abilities, collecting and analyzing patient history, physical examination findings, and diagnostic data
  • Familiarity with age-specific needs and individualized care planning
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional standards and core values
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, able to interact professionally with patients, families, physicians, and team members
  • Understanding of, and experience with, safe patient handling and use of protective equipment
  • Ability to lead and mentor others, including precepting new staff when assigned
  • Continued interest in professional growth through goal setting and participation in educational opportunities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment programs in accordance with prescribed medical plans
  • Provide consistent, age-appropriate interventions, integrating best-practice standards
  • Uphold service excellence by conducting regular rounds, nurturing a respectful and compassionate environment
  • Ensure optimal health and safety for patients and staff through appropriate equipment use
  • Adhere to standard procedures for care tasks (e.g., lines, catheters, pressure ulcers, restraints, and fall prevention)
  • Contribute to the daily performance and efficiency of the therapy department, and may serve as charge therapist when assigned
  • Support professional and departmental development by participating in hospital-wide initiatives and evidence-based practice programs
  • Foster ongoing learning, both personally and department-wide, by engaging in educational offerings
